Installation Guide
This page covers general installation notes for Brassluxe fixtures. Because plumbing configurations vary by home, always confirm compatibility with your existing rough-in and thread sizes before installing.
Faucets
(Bathroom & Kitchen)
DIY-Friendly
Most of our faucets use standard 3/8" or 1/2" NPT/compression connections compatible with common US supply lines. Single-hole, widespread (typically 8" spread), and bridge-style faucets each require different sink/counter hole configurations — check your existing sink cutout or counter drilling before ordering. Installation generally requires: adjustable wrench, basin wrench, plumber's tape, and a bucket for shut-off. This is a moderate DIY project for most homeowners comfortable with basic plumbing.
Shower Systems & Tub Fillers
Professional RecommendedThese typically involve connecting to an existing shower valve or, for new installs, setting a rough-in valve inside the wall before tile/finish work. We strongly recommend professional installation by a licensed plumber for any shower system or tub filler that requires new rough-in plumbing or wall penetration — this protects your warranty and your walls.
Pendant Lighting
Professional RecommendedOur brass and copper pendant lights are sold as light fixtures only (unless noted) and require standard electrical installation to a ceiling junction box. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician, particularly for hardwired (non-plug-in) fixtures, to ensure safe wiring and code compliance in your area.
Sinks
Professional RecommendedVessel sinks, undermount sinks, and farmhouse sinks each have different mounting requirements (counter cutout, apron support, drain alignment). We recommend installation by a professional installer or plumber, especially for undermount and farmhouse-style sinks that require structural counter support.
Hardware & Accessories
DIY-FriendlyCabinet pulls, knobs, towel bars, hooks, and toilet paper holders typically mount with standard screws into pre-drilled holes or wall anchors. These are straightforward DIY installs with a screwdriver or drill.
